Within and Without

Reality is stranger than fiction. She started to sense it when she began to question everything she did.

Why do we do what we do? What are our true goals? And What inspired it, fueled it.. how was it exactly created? Isn't most of our dreams to attain more, be more of whatever we are in our future? Isn’t that just the core of our life, "tomorrow"- and a better one. So, how was this cycle put into effect? In our minds, driven by myriads of our emotions- attained, unattained, unresolved, undealt, happy, sad.. or was it people just walking in the footsteps of their forefathers, of society, of their preconditioning, beliefs, that they don’t dare to question.

Whatever it may be, it’s our own issues that create these dreams, it’s our own battles we fight each day and there is nothing wrong in putting our efforts in attaining it. If that’s what we came to do in this limited time that has been offered to us, to just learn from our journey as we watch our little dreams manifest itself, watch how life magically unfurls itself, as one by one we resolve each of our issues and unburden ourselves from it. We all are same in that sense no matter how different and unusual these dreams may appear to each other. On our pursuit of it, we often stumble and fall. But we learn from our mistakes and pull ourselves up but along the way we  have become too serious in achieving these ambitions, so much that we stop actually living. We grow colder and unforgiving both to the world and ourselves. It has been so for generations here, more and more we get wrapped in deep in our so called achievements. Societies, classes, and even our identity are built around it.

If each of us aren’t so different in our core, albeit our contradictions or our chosen paths shaping our own perception of this reality, why are we still fighting for nitty gritty stuffs like equality..  From the divisions, power plays and the whole unbalanced system of our world to our own day to day actions… like a stuck pattern, a broken recorder on replay, everything made her reality stranger and stranger.
